Fence Replacement in Maine

Remove an old, leaning or rotted fence and replace it properly.

Most fences don't fail all at once. Posts loosen, a section leans after a storm, boards rot at the bottom, and eventually patching stops making sense.

Replacement is also the moment to change the fence, not just repeat it. Plenty of people move from old chain link to vinyl privacy, or from a stockade fence to something that suits the house better.

Common reasons to replace

  • Rotted posts or bottom boards on an older wood fence
  • Leaning or bowed sections
  • Storm or tree damage across multiple sections
  • Sagging, rusted or bent chain link
  • A style that no longer fits the house or how the yard is used
  • A new pool, dog or addition changing what's needed

Removal and disposal

We remove the existing fence, pull posts and footings where practical, and haul the material away. Removal and disposal are quoted as part of the project so you can see what it costs.

Reusing the existing line

Sometimes the old fence line is still the right line, and sometimes it isn't — old fences don't necessarily sit on the property boundary. We'll talk through that before we set anything new.
